PrintPrintEmailEmailPrepare yourself with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize, and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

Madison Center offers the American Red Cross Standard First Aid Course taught by certified instructors. Instruction is lecture combined with hands-on practice to learn first aid skills for treating a variety of injuries such as burns, wounds, head, neck and back injuries, and heat- and cold-related emergencies. Participants also learn to manage sudden illnesses, stroke, seizure, bites and poisoning. Advanced registration is required. There is a $20 fee for non-Madison Center staff to attend First Aid certification class.

Participants may choose to attend either First Aid class session from 8 AM- 12 Noon, or 12:30 PM- 4:30 PM. Certification cards will be mailed to you within 3 weeks of completing the class.
